Good location, good Wi‑Fi, comfortable bed. We just checked out of Cuzy Huts and were very disappointed. The cabin has two separate rooms with external access. The rooms did not match the photos on Booking at all. The shower and toilet were also located outside the rooms—and likewise did not resemble the photos on Booking whatsoever. Because the bathroom facilities are external (which we were not informed about), they were heavily infested with ants, as well as other insects and lizards. The cleanliness level in the rooms was low. The refrigerator was dirty, the furniture was old and falling apart, and in the lower room the air conditioner made an extremely loud noise, making it impossible to use for long. There is no cleaning service and no replacement of towels during the stay. It’s important to note that we’ve traveled extensively on islands in both Thailand and the Philippines, and this type of accommodation (jungle setting, insects, etc.) is not unfamiliar to us. The disappointment mainly stems from the price and the misleading photos, which do not reflect the actual condition of the property. For a similar price, there are much better options available on Koh Chang. This didn’t bother us personally, but worth noting: The host has a very cute 5‑month‑old puppy who enjoys jumping and playfully nipping. Lastly, the cabin is located up a very steep hill, which may be challenging for guests arriving with large suitcases.
