The location is in the Javanese special zone, which is a convenient spot for transport; whether you’re calling a Grab or ordering food, it’s pretty good. The rooms are overall tidy, and the common area has hot and cold water available, which is nice. Prices are reasonable, the air conditioning is cool, and the staff service is good. The first night, using the hair dryer caused a power outage in the whole room (no other appliances were used, just the dryer). After that, for the next two evenings, whenever I needed to blow my hair, I had to turn off the air conditioning to use the dryer, which was inconvenient. The room had many ants, mostly coming from the balcony, so I had to eat any food immediately because putting it on the table would attract ants.

The bathroom lacks a bidet, the air‑conditioning doesn’t work, and the toiletries are insufficient. Bad experience.

I slept like a log on the huge comfy bed, the AC was cool, the bathroom was spotless, and the hot water worked great. The toilet was a spray model that was a real treat. The place felt safe, cozy, and clean. The only downside was the lack of an electric kettle and no tea or coffee in the room, plus the public kitchen didn’t have a microwave. The kitchen itself had an electric kettle and a microwave, which made the staycation feel perfect. Overall it was good and I’d recommend it—thanks Payu Hotel Jogja.
