The location is perfect, right next to Petco Park, and San Diego is very clean in most areas. However, there are no places to eat after 11 pm. I could have gotten a cheaper price if I had waited. I expected the room to be nicer and bigger for the price.

The room was spotless and cozy, and I liked the subtle baseball motif. Breakfast was available on site, and the staff were friendly throughout the hotel. However, the valet fee was outrageous, and I could actually see my car parked on the roof opposite the hotel. The breakfast arrangement felt odd; nobody greeted me or explained the options. I ended up in the grab‑and‑go area, got scolded while searching for milk for my coffee, and the burrito was burnt. The breakfast and parking need improvement for a hotel of this type.

The property was clean and pleasant, and it was conveniently close to Petco Park and various restaurants. If you purchase a concert ticket at Petco Park, the Omni offers a sky bridge that lets you walk across to the stadium.

The hotel is really nice in the Gaslamp area, with a great pool that overlooks the city and clean rooms that give a pleasant view of the baseball stadium, and the staff are very welcoming. However, if you’re traveling with kids the neighbourhood isn’t ideal, and the beds are a bit small.
