How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The place was gorgeous. The little cabin was cute, welcoming, very clean and comfortable. The only flaw was that the TV was missing, even though the photo on the website showed one. If you want to be in nature and enjoy peace for a short break from the city, this is perfect, especially because it’s right under the castle. The very kind lady prepared a nice breakfast with juices, tea, cappuccino, jam, Nutella and brioche. No complaints.

The room was lovely but the boiler clanged all night, so I couldn’t sleep. The property sits on the top of a very steep hill, which I didn’t know, and it’s far from the main town facilities – I’m able-bodied, but anyone else would struggle. I expected breakfast at the property, which I paid for, but instead I received a voucher for a café in town and I didn’t use it. The same issues are noted above.

The location is nice despite the uphill walk, quiet, and the welcome was very friendly. The downside was that breakfast was taken in the village and limited to a coffee, croissant, and a small sandwich. We’d prefer a buffet breakfast on site.

The property was well kept, clean and comfortable. It’s on the Via Francigena route. The owner was very accommodating and gave us a ride to a restaurant so we could grab a bite before the afternoons closed. Groceries were about a 15‑minute walk. However, the restaurant was a 20‑minute walk away, which is inconvenient after a long day walking the Francigena.

The location is wonderful, just below the castle of Verres. It’s easy to walk, and it’s about a 10‑minute climb from the stairs at the back of the parking lot by the bar Il Cantinotto. The room is comfortable, with a kettle and a refrigerator, and very quiet. There’s a very good restaurant next to the Al Drit. It’s worth the climb. Highly recommended.
