How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The location was lovely, a small spot on the edge of the lake. Two tiny simple cottages each had a covered outdoor space. It was handy that we could rent bikes from the owner to explore the city. The evening boat safari was definitely recommended! We saw a few elephants and a spectacular sunset. Apart from that, it was mostly a serene experience because there was a boat and no motor was used.

A lovely spot right on the lake, very quiet. The breakfast was good. The host let us rent bikes to get to the center and the Polonnaruwa archaeological site. He was eager to meet all our needs and always available. The location is peaceful amid greenery, but you need a bike to reach the center because it’s fairly isolated.

The terrace overlooked the lake, which was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and included. We recommend the morning lake tour offered by the host, a magical moment when we were lucky to see elephants and buffaloes. Also, renting bikes to visit the archaeological site is a good idea. The host is helpful and gives solid restaurant advice.

Perfect location, right at the edge of the forest. So nice to sit outside and watch the fishermen and the birds. Breakfast was so good too. We got kicked out halfway through our stay as there was apparently a glitch with so that was disappointing
