“Très déçu”
The spacious, hot jacuzzi was a highlight, but the photos were misleading and the name (Courchevelle) is deceptive; we’re far from the mountains and a nice neighborhood, the area is poorly frequented, under heavy construction, and parking is impossible. There’s no nearby parking, so we had to use a private paid lot for €12 a night, just 10 minutes on foot from the lodging. The room is pretty but lacks a microwave or basic dishware, has no lock on the door so it stays open all night, which is unsettling. We couldn’t turn off the jacuzzi at night, so we ended up in a very damp room with water droplets falling from the ceiling—unpleasant and a bit overcharged at €350 a night. Arrival was too late at 21:00, and we had to pay an extra €50 in cash for a 19:00 arrival (most places allow arrivals between 15:00 and 16:00). We’ve had better rooms for €350, even with dinner and lunch included for €270. I absolutely do not recommend this place; you can find cheaper and much better options.
