Hotel Museo Spa Casa Santo Domingo in Antigua Guatemala blends historic convent architecture with modern luxury. Its 132 rooms feature local art, 26 spa‑living suites, and panoramic terraces overlooking volcanoes. Guests dine at El Refectorio, crafted by Chef Mario Enrique Campollo, and enjoy a weekend buffet of Guatemalan specialties. The spa offers indoor/outdoor pools, jacuzzis, saunas, and personalized treatments, while the surrounding cultural park hosts museums, galleries, and a canopy zipline.

The staff training and hotel upkeep are impressive. The employees are very attentive! The hotel features a museum on its property that is one of the best‑organized private museums.

The site’s beauty is exceptional, and the view from our room overlooking the Agua is stunning. The spa is magnificent. In short, everything. It’s a bit far from the center, but that also makes it quiet.

The restaurant and spa deliver excellent service, with staff who are very friendly and overall top‑class attention. The food is spectacular, especially the city’s typical dishes, and the spa’s beautiful facilities and massage menu are incredible. I highly recommend the four‑hand massage—it’s a great experience. The concierge’s service on both arrival and departure was the only thing that didn’t match the rest of the experience; the information they provided was often unclear or incorrect, causing confusion. Although they seemed polite, at times their tone was ironic or even sarcastic, which became uncomfortable. This area could improve significantly to match the hotel’s otherwise excellent service.
