I liked the location, the comfortable bed, and the outdoor cooking space, and there was a private toilet and shower; only minor issues included the cool box not being very cold, the stove being too small for a large frying pan and a small saucepan, but these were minor.

“Peace on earth”

The shepherds hut was cute and compact, and the burner kept us warm at night. The outdoor area was fantastic, letting us star‑gaze for hours around the fire pit. The host was amazing, keeping everything clean and tidy. The site is a great escape with a lively pub just down the road. The British weather was a bit of a downer.

Everything, a lovely place, Carrie the host, was friendly and really helpful. The hut, the bathroom, cooking, and realxing areas were very well equipped with everything you might need, and looks really pretty too. There is no electric, but plenty of lanterns, candles etc, fairy lights for outside, and solar powered light and usb charger in the hut. The chickens and ducks are great, and so are their eggs. The countryside is lovely, and plenty of wildlife, big and small, in the lovely hedges, and huge willow. Having to leave after 2 nights!
