The cleaning lady behaved very unpleasantly, there was dust everywhere and spiders, and the bathrooms were filthy when we arrived.
“Horror-Nacht, die uns fast dazu bewogen hat, den Urlaub abzubrechen.”
The bed was cozy and towels were provided. Check‑in was impossible at first, requiring several phone calls with customer service because the system had stored my second first name as my surname. The check‑in kiosk was under a flickering light that caused my wife severe nausea, dizziness, and headaches. The walls are very thin and you hear a lot. When we entered the room it smelled of smoke, paint, and mildew in the bathroom; the floor grout was moldy. The shower drain was clogged, causing the bathroom to flood quickly. The air‑conditioner could not be turned off, was noisy all night, was old and dirty, too cold, and blew directly onto the bed so we had to cover our heads with towels. Outside, people stayed until after midnight, talking loudly, coughing, and playing music.
We booked a room for four and were blown away! Arriving late at night, we used the sleek self‑check‑in machine that handled both registration and payment—no front desk or staff in sight, but we figured it out quickly and got our code without a hitch. The two‑storey suite was a dream: a double bed and bathroom on the first floor, and two full‑size double beds upstairs—perfect for a family of four. Spotlessly clean, fully equipped, and with superb soundproofing even though the hotel sits near a road. Parking was a huge plus; the private on‑site lot let us leave our car with a roof box safely, which was a lifesaver. This place is ideal for families traveling by car who need a comfortable, modern, and well‑organized stay. Thank you, we were thrilled!
“Quelques détails à améliorer au niveau communication dans certains hôtels de la chaîne”
I had to call several times just to get the access code after a late arrival; it wasn't until about 18:00 that someone finally emailed it to us. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this at a BB hotel—Illzach, Colmar Vignobles, and this one all had unreadable digits on the keypad.
The room was immaculate—clean linens, spotless bathroom, and overall impeccable hygiene. However, the strong cigarette smell and the loud noise from the neighboring room at night, with thin walls, made it hard to sleep.
