The Old Quarter is walkable, but the bathroom wasn’t very good.

The management and staff are very helpful. The place was close to everything important and, unlike other hotels in Vietnam, they don’t lock the front door. The place was kind of old and the elevator was making a sound that may need checking. There were some stains in the bathtub that might need paint because they look like lint at first glance. The porch on the fifth floor was unkempt.

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, and the staff were helpful. No complaints.

I stayed only one night at the end of my 5‑day motorcycle trip in the Northeast, so I was there just one night before flying out early the next morning. It’s in a nice spot in the Old Quarter, so the location is good if you want access to the area. The room was large enough to fit my stuff without feeling cramped. The bed was nice and cozy, and there’s a bathtub, though I didn’t use it. The view out the window wasn’t much, but since it was just an overnighter it was fine. I’m not sure about the daytime atmosphere; it feels more like a hotel than a homestay, so it doesn’t have much character. That may not be an issue for you.
