“Best hostel in San Marcos!”

I loved the view and the vibe, but the hostel really needs lockers for your valuable stuff.

My friend and I stayed with the hosts, and Manolo, Pablo, and Andrés were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make our visit memorable. They upgraded our room on arrival for a better view and more space. They also pointed us to a local swim spot just a 5‑minute walk away, which was quiet because most tourists weren’t there yet. One evening they took us and other guests to swim, and on other nights they hosted live music and games, giving us a chance to relax and mingle. Andrés ran yoga classes that my yoga‑loving friend enjoyed. The property has two kitchens if you want to cook, and the rooms were spacious with great lake views. The host kindly drove us to the next town for our overnight bus, something we didn’t expect but appreciated. I’d definitely return to this place on my next trip to San Marcos. Thank you for a fantastic stay! Everything was just perfect.

“Not a comfortable stay. Staff were friendly, it’s a great location and it’s cheap, but between the spiders, noise and mo”

The location and views were amazing, yoga sessions were a highlight, and the laundry service was reasonable. The staff helped us book the Indian Nose sunrise hike. Unfortunately, the place was infested with spiders, there was mold above the bed, and the mattress was very hard. It was also quite noisy because of nearby church singing, animal fights, and road traffic.

The staff were lovely, the animals were adorable, and the view was beautiful. Nothing to complain about.
