The accommodation was spacious, clean, and offered good value with friendly check‑in instructions and nice common areas, feeling like a great grandma’s house; however, the building could use some renovations and the kitchen lacks a hood.

The property was clean and excellent, very close to route #1, and the kitchen was fully equipped; everything was fine.

The guesthouse sits on a hill surrounded by Icelandic countryside yet is easily reachable from the ring road; it’s very basic with a shared kitchen and bathroom, clean rooms, and the staff were extremely kind and gave all the directions—no supermarkets nearby, so shop before arriving; it has a nice retro charm and I’d definitely return.

I slept in a comfy bed and the location was good, but the place felt more like a hostel than a guesthouse; the carpet on the stairs was filthy and the owner insists on removing shoes, yet the whole place could use a serious clean. The shared kitchen serves eight rooms, and there’s only one bathroom for five rooms upstairs. There’s no TV, which was mentioned in the description, and overall it’s not the best place I’ve stayed, so I won’t return.
