The place was clean and I was warmly welcomed upon arrival; we shared a coffee and chatted. It might be a bit far, but renting a scooter is essential to get around as you please—I like to be independent in my movements.

Everything was perfect. The staff and manager Fit went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They arranged scooter rentals, speedboat bookings, a snorkeling trip to the almost deserted Koh Lao beach, and a squid fishing excursion. It’s truly a superb spot to relax, and Koh Libong stays free from mass tourism, which is great.

The place was quiet. However, there were ants on the street in the bathroom, a power outage at night, and a small window that made the room dark. We were bike‑packers and had already stayed in similarly priced but nicer accommodations elsewhere.

The property is exactly what I was after: a beautiful, lush tropical forest with rugged jungle hiking. The owner went out of his way daily to ensure I was well taken care of, driving me into town for whatever I needed without accepting any payment. He is very kind and generous, as are the people in the community surrounding the property.
