“Hotel Berghof, FANTASTISCH”
Everything was great, and they even listened when we wanted to change something at dinner. Breakfast was simple, well‑prepared, and delicious. And that’s not all – Antonio, the house dog, is the real star of the hotel. The only downside: the beds were a touch too high.

The location is beautiful, the staff friendly, food tasty, and the place clean and tidy. The bathroom feels a bit dated, but it was still clean and very functional, so that was fine.

The spot overlooking a large lake is superb and very peaceful. Reception was straightforward and friendly. Room #15 was very clean, bright, and spacious, with a nice, tidy bathroom. The on‑site restaurant offered good dinner options at reasonable prices. The lift is available if needed. The dining room overlooking the lake is pleasant for both dinner and breakfast. Breakfast itself offered many choices, and a coffee maker was in the room. We stored our bikes on the terrace in front of our room. The only inconvenience was that the internet was not available, but it wasn’t a major issue.

Breakfast was lovely with hard rolls and eggs to choose from, plus yogurt with fresh fruit. We dined at the restaurant twice and it was very good. On Wednesday the restaurant was closed, but a short 2‑minute drive to the lakeside below offers equally tasty food. We came for the view, and it was amazing. From our balcony we watched the lake and spotted 41 bird species over four days. Parking is above the entrance, so park there. If you want a lake view, book a room above – rooms 4, 5, 6, etc.
