The hotel is very pretty and comfortable, with rooms that are very clean, spacious, and cozy. The location posed no problems; it was quiet, and the hotel’s transportation service for pick‑ups and drop‑offs was excellent. The food at the restaurant was very tasty. I liked everything, though a bit more attention to the pool’s chemical balance would be good.
“A private stay in a cabana with the best staff and food.”
The staff was really welcoming and fun to talk to. The restaurant was excellent, and the tomahawk steak was amazing! We went on the shoulder season and there were very few other guests. Seemed like we had the place to ourselves. Boat to the south side was very easy to schedule. Beds were comfortable. The sargassum arrived early this year and the beaches stank to high heaven. They had crews working around the clock to clear it out, but it’s hard to fight Mother Nature. Had I known, I wouldn’t have booked ocean front
“great”
The staff were friendly and attentive. I would have liked a golf cart included with the room.
The staff were incredible, and the restaurant was very good. The thatched palm‑roof cabana shed when it was windy; the hotel staff cleaned it up well, but it also happened overnight while we were sleeping.
“We were very happy staying here for a quiet, relaxing, week-long holiday!”
The staff were top‑class, always quick to help and full of useful info. The on‑site restaurant was easy to reach, the food quality and prices were decent overall in US dollars, though some dishes were a bit inconsistent. The grounds were tidy and the facilities well kept, giving a clear sense of place on the island, especially around the mangroves. It’s a short walk from the Split ferry, but far enough away to stay quiet and peaceful. We’d definitely return. On the flip side, North Caye is noticeably quieter than South Caye and has fewer restaurants and bars. If you choose to stay here, factor in the travel across the Split. Even though the ferry crossing itself takes about 2 minutes and the wait is no longer than 10 minutes, ferries may not run late at night. All transport on the Caye is by golf cart. The resort offers rides by cart and boat, but not all the time. These are just things to keep in mind. Also, there’s no beach access at the resort; you need to head to the west side of the Caye or to South Caye.
