A warm welcome and a lovely terrace breakfast, but getting to the house requires a 5‑minute walk along an unlit dirt track, which isn’t ideal if you’re coming from the city centre. Also, you’ll only have one bedroom and one bathroom, and the rest of the house is shared with other people.

The location is great—right in nature yet within walking distance of the city centre. The bed comes with a mosquito net, and there’s a terrace to relax and watch birds. Breakfast was fresh and generous, with no food wasted. The staff were very responsive and waited for us at night to check in because we arrived very late. The only downside was the lack of hot water, but the property is ecological and tries to manage consumption.

The owner was kind and the morning help came to make breakfast; the breakfast itself was decent. We didn’t realize (or misread) that the house was shared, so the kitchen and other common areas felt cramped and offered little privacy.
