Sleeping on a boat is always a nice change, but the vessel feels pretty old and the photos no longer match reality.

There aren’t many chances to sleep on a sailboat, so when I saw a spot open I jumped at it; waking up with the stars over the sea is an unforgettable experience. I liked everything!

The place on the island was unique – a great idea to rent out such a “stay.” The harbor sits in a sunny corner; even though the forecast said rain and an hour of sunshine, the weather from 09:04 am in December was perfect. The cozy seating on the water lets you cook and wash normally, and the staff were friendly and gave clear explanations. We even received videos via WhatsApp beforehand, which made everything easier. A small supermarket is within walking distance, and a larger one like Lidl is a 7‑minute drive. Thanks for the lovely four days – we’ll definitely return. A little outdoor lighting at night would have been nice, like on other ships; we ended up buying a candle ourselves, which made the evenings pleasant. Another blanket would have been welcome (we were two people), but that’s a typical Southern European thing to get one big blanket for two. If we had asked, the kind man would have helped.

Simply good, staying on a boat in the harbor. Ten minutes on foot to the center of Puerto de Tazacorte.

The host was super friendly, very attentive with tips for Sunday shopping and how the onboard quirks work. The private sailboat was rented out; thanks for the trust! The boat has a picturesque mooring in the harbor of Tazacorte, and you can swim directly from the boat. It feels a bit like camping, but still nicer! The open hatch lets you look at the stars at night… dreamy!
