I had to pay extra for the booked room, and when I tried to call the number provided, the call was dropped, the street noise was loud, the stairs creaked, and the room felt more like a shared apartment than a private space.

Unfortunately, the reception and the staff’s behavior ruined our stay. At 7 am I went down to get coffee and had told them we’d have breakfast around 9 am. We arrived at 9:07, just 7 minutes late, and the door was literally shut in our faces. I had paid for breakfast and was even denied a simple coffee. I had to grab my pastries and eat them on the bench outside the entrance while the staff stared without opening the door. The hotel was almost empty, so there was no overload situation that could explain such rigidity. I was on vacation with my son and it was the start of our trip together. I find it truly regrettable that a hotel could show so little flexibility, friendliness, and hospitality for seven minutes of delay. A hotel can be clean and well‑located, but hospitality matters too. We were very disappointed on that front.

The place was clean, but the walls were so thin that everything could be heard.

The owner was pleasant, the setting by the Vltava River was nice, and it was close to the city center.

The inn is near the old town, close to a park and a river, parking is included in the price, breakfast is good, and it’s a solid spot for a city trip. However, the inn seems to have passed its best period; the owners could tidy up the surroundings a bit, but the price and location make that flaw tolerable. Overall rating 4 out of 5.
