The chateau was gorgeous, the beds super comfy, and even in the middle of winter the rooms stayed warm. The hosts were friendly and helpful, pointing us to a local restaurant and even booking a table for us. We really enjoyed the stay, though we were disappointed that our two bedrooms shared one bathroom instead of having two; at least the shared bathroom was roomy with both a bath and a shower.

Everything was perfect—from the name to the welcome, the property itself, and the overall experience—so we’ll definitely return!

The exterior looked fine, but nobody was there to greet us at the agreed time. The owner only arrived 45 minutes later, and the bathroom and toilet were left uncleaned. Even after we asked, nothing was cleaned; the owner just brought a brush with toilet cleaner and left it to us. The used towels were still on the floor. The room’s furnishings were below basic, and the downstairs area was cluttered with stacked tables and chairs, making it very uncomfortable and unwelcoming, so we left as soon as possible.

Staying in a real castle with a moat around it was a fun experience. The room was nice, with good heating and a bathroom. There was no TV in the room, which was a plus. We drove past several genuinely picturesque villages on the way to the property, which was special—you could almost walk through the old‑world France. Some parts were still under construction, so noises from the unfinished hall directly below my room were loud. Breakfast was missing brown bread, and the jam was in already opened jars. The price was 7 euros, so it wasn’t too expensive. The distance to the motorway was huge, which isn’t a smart choice if you want to travel quickly.
