“Good location and kind staff, but the Junior Suite was disappointing and definitely below our expectations for the price”

The location was very good, close to the southern part of the lake and slightly away from the busiest streets; it was central but still relatively quiet. The staff were kind and helped us solve a few problems during our stay. We booked a Junior Suite, but the room did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price. The shower had problems and was leaking, although the receptionist kindly helped us find a solution. The bathroom also had visible mould around the shower and bathtub area. Some towels had holes, the blackout curtain looked very worn and stained, and even the clean bed linen had a tear. Overall, the room was clean enough, but the general condition and quality of the furnishings were disappointing, so the value for money was quite poor.

“Great service”

The staff were incredible and beyond helpful. Sarah was exceptional and John was a great manager who made me feel very welcome. I would stay again!

Minasi is in a great location, close to the lake, the water puppet show, great food, excellent shopping including a great Uniqlo store! A 10‑minute walk from the prison museum, which was so interesting. Staff member Sarah was so helpful and friendly, and we could store our bags at the hotel after check‑out until we had to catch our train to Sapa that night. An extra advantage would have been a rooftop jacuzzi.
