Everything was good.

The room was very cold, the host didn’t respond to the request to turn on the heating, and there was no working TV.

A small but comfortable room, 200 m away you’ll find Aldi, Edeka, Kaffee‑Manufaktur, and a great bakery, which we really liked.

There were plenty of cooking options, everything was available, and the place was clean. The heater that was on in the morning was turned off in the evening, so it got cold again until the next morning.

The only thing that mattered was the proximity to our venue. The fridge was a disaster: it wasn’t cold, only superficially cleaned, and smelled of old butter and cheese. The cabinet next to it wouldn’t close; it seemed to fall apart if you pushed too hard. The kitchen area consisted of a cabinet with a sink, a tiny work surface where a microwave sat, and that visible work surface was damaged and covered with a clear tablecloth. At the other end of the sink was a double‑burner stove covered in baked‑on food, the extractor hood was filthy and started to crackle and flicker when you tried to turn on the light, making it unusable. The bathroom had a slanted shower that made it impossible for tall people to shower; it was poorly maintained, with black mold on the edge. Hot water was only briefly available, otherwise it was lukewarm. The cabinet under the sink showed soap residue. The promised hair dryer was missing. The bathroom door to the room had a thick dirty edge. The wardrobe’s corners were peeling. Behind the sofa bed there were thick cobwebs when you pulled it back. The balcony was just the landing in front of the entrance, about 80 × 80 cm, with a chair and ashtray. Overall, the place could use a fresh coat of paint; the walls had scratches. The only positives were the mattresses and the sofa bed, though the bed was only 1.40 m wide, not the advertised 1.51 m. A fan was also missing. After one night we moved out. We never spoke with the host; she couldn’t offer an alternative or fix the problems quickly. In short, this place is a catastrophe.
