The place had a lot of character, the room was cozy and clean, staff were very friendly, and the food was freshly cooked to order and delicious, though it was a bit remote and very quiet.

The restaurant food was lovely, the rooms were perfectly clean, and there were nice touches like tea, coffee and biscuits. The shower was great and the outdoor seating area was nice. All staff were very nice and the location is close to Cockermouth, but breakfast times were a bit limited, the bed was a bit uncomfortable, and there were no blackout curtains.

The room was very spacious and equipped with all amenities. The bed was excellent and the service outstanding. We arrived a little early but that was no problem at all. A very pleasant accommodation.

Perfect location, especially for the 4 days walking the fells around that area. Nicola and Colin are so friendly and the other staff also do lovely and helpful! The breakfast and evening meal were real nice home cooked. I’ll definitely be staying again without a doubt! Thank you again and see you soon . Graeme 👍
