“Je ne recommande pas cet auberge”
Nothing was good. The breakfast was dirty, nothing extraordinary, too expensive for what we asked for a double bed; they gave us twin beds, catastrophic stay.

Hotel zum Hirschen, nestled in Villigen’s village, offers a buffet of Swiss and French dishes, a curated wine cellar, and free Wi‑Fi. Rooms feature TVs, private bathrooms with showers, and hairdryers. The terrace welcomes guests in summer. A nearby ski slope, Brugg (6 km), and Bad Zurzach spa (15 km) add appeal. On‑site free parking and a bus stop 200 m away provide convenience.

Everything was top, everything was too.

Very close to PSI and parking is easy to find. But it felt more like a bed‑and‑breakfast than a hotel; breakfast was close early and we forgot to check.

The apartment was huge, fully equipped with laundry machines and dishes (capsules provided). Self‑check‑in was well organized with all necessary information. The apartments are behind the hotel in a different building; to locate your unit you must follow the link in the envelope because there are few directional signs in the building. Breakfast is fairly complete. Free parking. A bit more signage inside the building would help find our apartment. For reference, breakfast is set in a large hall near the reception, but you sit in the main restaurant. Add more directions for the parking spots at the back when the restaurant’s are full. It’s unclear whether the areas between the buildings are private or for hotel guests.

Nice location, spacious room, very clean, and all facilities available—kitchen, laundry, living room. Overall great offer!
