Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The staff let you pick whatever you wanted and order more items, but on Sunday the salmon was already gone by 9:00 am, and the staff’s claim that there was none left was unsatisfactory. For a hotel like this, there should never be a shortage, especially on a Sunday morning.
“Clean, modern and peaceful hotel by the Danube with comfortable rooms, which is why I regularly stay here. Unfortunately”
What I like about Meliá Vienna is that it’s a clean, modern, and peaceful hotel right by the Danube. I’ve stayed many times, usually in standard rooms, and they’ve always been comfortable and well maintained. The standard rooms and the hotel overall provide good quality, which is why Meliá Vienna is my regular choice when I visit Vienna. Despite the problems I had with the Level lounge and breakfast this time, I still appreciate the hotel’s comfort and location. We stayed in a Level access room, which included lounge and breakfast access, but the lounge and breakfast didn’t offer good value. The lounge was disappointing and far below expectations. Breakfast service was frustrating: the coffees we ordered were promised to be brought to our table, yet they never arrived, and we were repeatedly served the wrong orders. The breakfast tables were unstable and wobbly, forcing us to switch tables several times before finding one that worked. Overall, the Level lounge and breakfast did not meet our expectations and were not worth the extra cost. The hotel itself is impressive, but our experience with these services was disappointing.
The place is comfortable with amazing views and everything was clean. Parking was convenient, but the site advertised it as free while we were charged 30 € per day.
“It was ok”
The toilet was dirty when I arrived. When I tried to report it, housekeeping didn’t answer, nor did the reception pick up my call, so I had to go down to reception to inform them. No compensation was offered.
Overall clean and the front‑desk staff were fine. The breakfast‑receptionist named Ali, and the service lady Milana wore glasses; I tried to stop her from letting me in at 10:15 am even though breakfast ends at 10:30 am, and she told me I had five minutes to eat. There’s no water tap as shown in the pictures, and it’s far from the center—15 to 30 minutes depending on the crowd.
