“Beware - not as perceived in advertisement”
The pool looked nice in the photos, but security was lacking and the front desk offered no warm welcome; the staff member at the counter grunted for our passports and mistakenly handed us an additional American passport that wasn’t ours. They didn’t assist with luggage, even though my mother was walking with a cane and I was dragging mine up the stairs. When we finally reached our room at the end of the compound, it wasn’t ready at 4 pm; the previous guests had left empty bottles outside the room and a cot. Once the room was set up, we were told not to use the safe because it was broken. The bathroom door handle was loose, the cupboards were dusty and dirty, and the water glasses and coffee cups were chipped and stained. Overall, it felt like a one‑star motel you’d pay by the hour. With the high rating we expected a better experience, but it was a stark contrast to the hype. We quickly found better accommodation that lived up to a 9‑star rating.
