The place was quiet, clean, and the owner was friendly, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The drive from Oravita to Socolari was an adventure through potholes, and getting to the accommodation in Socolari involved an unpaved stone road where parked cars were an obstacle; only off‑road vehicles could pass safely without risking damage to the chassis or tires. When we arrived, only cold water was running, and we had to locate the key to the gate ourselves on departure.

“Ne-a plăcut cazarea și o recomandăm din cauza proprietarului plăcut”

The private parking, nice courtyard, and kind owner were positives, but the roads from Oravița to Socolari are in such bad condition that we no longer want to visit the area. Tourism professionals everywhere should petition authorities because it’s unacceptable that instead of returning relaxed from a holiday, you leave nervous or with a wrecked car. I haven’t seen such potholes in at least 20 years on public roads in the country; it’s sad what’s happening in that region.

“Zona frumoasa”

The garden with lanterns and the well‑equipped kitchen station were nice, but the road from Oravita to Socolari is bad and the weather wasn’t very good.

The place exceeded my expectations - it's even better in person than in the photos. The owner was super friendly and went out of their way to help us. The only downside was the road leading up to the accommodation, which wasn't exactly the most pleasant drive.
