“Zell am See jest świetnym miejscem wypadowym dla narciarzy.”
The hotel sits right in the center of Zell am See, but there’s no on‑site parking; you can use a paid lot about 300 m away for 5 € a day. The rooms are roomy, though originally meant for three people, so the double‑bed version feels cramped. They’re cleaned daily and each has a small, warm balcony. The water pressure and shower are good, and there’s plenty of hot water. The basement has a shoe rack that keeps shoes nicely dry each night. Breakfasts and dinners are generous, but the taste leaves much to be desired. In the evenings you can enjoy various games the hotel offers. However, the taste of the meals was disappointing, and the extra charge for drinks at dinner (not counting alcohol) was annoying.
The accommodation exceeded our expectations and is a solid value for the price paid; breakfast and dinner were tasty, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the main ski lift is about 500 m away. The ski lodge is comfortably heated and accessible from outside, and the wellness area offers both a Finnish and a steam sauna. Overall, the hotel is quiet with a beautiful balcony view. Parking on site is limited, as the hotel notes beforehand; for a small fee you can park about 450 m away at the hotel’s lot, or you can park for free under the main ski lift.
The hotel had a great atmosphere and the staff were really welcoming. However, parking was a total disaster - it was hard to find a spot and the lot was kinda small. That was a big letdown for me.
The dinners were varied and satisfying.
The food here was amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful - they always had a smile on their face and were happy to lend a hand. I was really impressed with the service and the quality of the food, it was all just really great. I didn't have any issues during my stay, so that's a good sign!
