“Excellent location with very comfortable room with great food and service”

The location was perfect, just a 2‑minute walk from Waverley train station, and the room was spacious and clean with a good bathroom and shower; the bed was very comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was first class, as was the service, and the afternoon tea at the hotel was delicious; the bar area was also very good. A small issue: there should be a couple of clothes hooks near the shower to hang clothes or towels, but the hooks on the back of the door are too far away.

The location was great, the breakfast was very good, and the staff were friendly. However, the room size information was false – the rooms are much smaller than advertised, and a spacious room was a key factor in choosing this hotel.

You couldn’t be in a nicer hotel in a more convenient location on the Royal Mile! Just across the street from the train station. Excellent staff that made us feel at home
