Even though we went for breakfast within the allotted time, almost nothing was left on the buffet and it wasn’t restocked… all for a price that wasn’t justified.

There was a party event at the hotel with loud music, and I wasn’t told about it. On top of that, the air‑con unit made a loud buzzing noise every few minutes even after I turned it off, waking me at 6:30. I got the worst night’s sleep of my four‑week trip, and I couldn’t even sleep in because the workers outside my window were hammering and would have woken me. Terrible experience, not what I expect from a luxury hotel.

The setting is exceptional and the breakfast is great. The shower had a noticeable odor coming up from the pipes.

The surroundings (room, building, park) are wonderful. I can’t imagine anything better.

The location is extremely quiet and rural, perfect as a base for Paris‑Roubaix.
