The staff were truly outstanding: they helped us arrange breakfast, called the 731 museum to clarify that foreigners don’t need a reservation but must bring passports, returned my gloves after someone else mistakenly took them, and arranged a Didi to the airport for our early‑morning flight. Nothing else was lacking; the room was very clean, comfortable, and cozy.

The room was warm and comfortable, and the hotel is only a 10‑15 minute Didi drive from most tourist spots. Free coffees and a simple supper were available in the kitchen each evening. It would have been nicer to have a more private bathroom area.

The slippers were wonderful, daily housekeeping and towel changes were consistent, the interior was nice, there was a humidifier, the loose leaf tea for brewing was tasty, the TV was flawlessly tuned, the shower was good, and the themed photo zone was pretty. From the window it blew, the view was of dreadful buildings, and there was no contact with foreigners even in English; communication relied on an online translator of very poor quality, making it hard to understand.
