We had an overall pleasant stay thanks to an exceptional setting. The location is beautiful, very quiet, and the view from the room is stunning, especially at sunset, and the building has a lot of charm. The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. However, several points disappointed us compared to the great reviews. First, although check‑in is advertised as starting at 4 p.m., we had planned to arrive at 5 p.m. Our GPS finally indicated an arrival around 4:30 p.m., but the host wasn’t available then. The shared kitchenette was poorly equipped and maintained: the fridge was unplugged when we arrived and only got cold after about twelve hours, the stove was broken and unusable, there was no trash bag for the first two days, no waste sorting system, the knives didn’t cut, and no basic condiments were provided. A microwave was promised but never installed. The outdoor areas could also be better maintained; the pool is really nice, but the surrounding area is overrun with weeds. The lounge cushions are taken out each evening and only put back in the late morning, which limits their use. The bathroom is large but could use some repairs (peeling paint, a door that doesn’t close properly). The common passage spaces (corridors, etc.) also give a sense of clutter, with shoes, boxes and various objects left around. We also found some comments a bit surprising: we were told not to use a tablecloth after several meals, even though none had been offered to us before. Likewise, we were asked to rinse off under the outdoor shower after applying sunscreen, which we understand is to preserve the pool water quality.
