The room was very comfortable and the location made it easy to explore the closed area; the included services were high‑quality and the staff were friendly, so I’d definitely recommend it.
“An excellent stay. Tranquil lodgings even if it was full of residents being high season in August.”
When we booked at Ansitz Gamp we were only looking for lodging with a good rate and close to our mountain excursions; upon arrival we discovered luxurious settings and surroundings that blew us away, so we abandoned our original mountain plans (which we had already visited in a different part of the Alps) and instead decided to spend our few days at Ansitz Gamp and the nearby borgo of Chiusa, just a few minutes’ walk away; we stayed in one of the apartments, which felt like a home away from home, very comfortable with everything you need available; it appears Ansitz Gamp is family‑run, as we met someone who spoke to us and asked about our stay; we will definitely return and this time we plan a longer stay; we used Google Maps to get to the location, unfortunately it led us into a remote area up into the mountains several kilometres away, so for future visitors note that Ansitz Gamp is just off the autostrada in case you encounter the same issue.
The place was wide and beautiful, but the only flaw was that linens and towels were changed for an extra fee, which honestly is bad and needs professional hotel standards; I also forgot the breakfast was very bad, with no options and also charged extra.
“Práchtig chalet, van alle gemakken voorzien.”
We stayed in one of the chalets, a gorgeous new and spacious unit with mountain views; everything was spotlessly clean, the large balcony offered a great outlook, and it came equipped with everything we needed. Chalet guests could use a jacuzzi, and the village with several good restaurants was just a short walk away. The covered parking garage was convenient and the spot was ideal for day trips. It wasn’t cheap, but it was worth it.
It was close to the cozy Klausen.
