“The room was adequately equipped and staff were lovely, but the gloomy atmosphere, insect problems, and misleading photo”

We liked the location near station 3 and the beach, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the room didn’t match the photos we saw when booking, and the area around the hotel felt swampy. Getting to the room meant walking over many grates, puddles, and wet spots, especially after rain and in the dark. The room and bathroom were dimly lit, creating a gloomy atmosphere. Mosquitoes were a serious issue, with some hiding near the smoke alarm, and we also found a cockroach in the bathroom and a large spider in the room. We got several insect bites after a short time outside, and it was unclear if the dogs on the property were treated for fleas. Despite having all the necessary amenities, the dark setting, insects, and discrepancies with the advertised photos forced us to leave two days early.

Everything was amazing and the staff were very helpful. If you love dogs, this place is perfect for you.

The staff were wonderful, and breakfasts and coffee were nice. The common area with all the dogs, however, was dirty and smelled bad.

The staff were fantastic, especially Ashlee, and it was super cozy with all the dogs. The coffee at station 3 was the best. It was a bit disappointing that the owner used the restaurant as his living room, inviting friends late into the night with loud music and all that, which made one night tolerable but not three out of five possible nights. The new hotel manager was a gem and helped patch up our issues.

The staff were amazing and the location was good. The first room was too close to the communal area, and the nighttime gatherings kept us awake. The generator next to the room sounded like a truck at 5am, but after we moved rooms everything was fine.
