We had an absolutely amazing stay. The owners were really friendly and helpful, the location is fantastic, and the views are beautiful. The apartment was extremely clean, which is saying a lot because I’m quite picky about cleanliness. I actually think it looks even better in person than in the photos, and the whole house has so much character!. A sharp kitchen knife would have been helpful. :) Also, the wifi was quite weak. Although it wasn’t a problem for us, take it into consideration if you need a reliable connection

A atmospheric place. Swiss House is a historic pension from 1856. It has traditional double windows, and the ground floor and first floor surround galleries where you can sit with coffee. On the ground floor there is Sherpa Bar and a tiny museum of Tatra sleds, and on the corridor wall you can see historic equipment of mountain rescue workers. On the first floor are apartments, and on the attic there is a recreational space, including a ping‑pong table. We stayed in a 5‑person apartment with two rooms. One had a double sofa and a kitchenette (sink, single‑burner induction stove, microwave, electric kettle, dishes), and the other had a double bed and a single sofa. The bathroom was accessed from the second room. That layout suited us, everything we needed was there. Aesthetically pleasing and pleasant. Right next to the pension is the Koliba Kamzik restaurant, a few steps away a grocery store. The pension is in the center of Stary Smokovec, right next to the exit to mountain trails. Ideal location. We had a parking spot in front of the house. The host is very nice and friendly – a real mountain man, sledman, Tatra guide and rescuer. Highly recommended.
