The peaceful setting, the pool, the sauna, the food, and the fact that the chef cooks himself are all excellent; the chef is also very courteous and extremely friendly. The manager, however, frequently has issues with the card reader—only when someone says they have no cash or not enough does the device oddly start working again, which feels completely out of step with the modern age.

The breakfast and restaurant are very good, and the pool is very modern, but the room furnishings are a bit dated, the carpet floor feels a bit old, and we had to pay an extra fee for the pool; under those conditions the room rate isn’t justified.

The place feels more like a private home than a hotel, and that’s just how I saw it. The owners, a couple, really try to meet guests’ wishes, though their workload and limited staff mean the restaurant has to close early and you’re expected to pre‑order daily. The lovely garden, quiet spot and the hosts’ friendliness make for a solid stay. I can’t think of any complaints right away, but don’t expect 24‑hour service.
