The scenery was pretty beautiful and the property was “just right” for what we needed. We were a group of four families, so we could eat together on the porch and spend a few hours in the pool to beat the heat. The apartments had their charm and, in short, everything went “smoothly”. The feeling of not being welcomed was unavoidable; a group of almost twenty people “makes noise”. We didn’t break anything, we cleaned up after eating. Choosing a farmhouse “in the middle of nowhere” was also to relax, to talk after dinner and not have to yell at the kids to keep their voices down while playing in the pool. But it was clear that expectations were different and we were annoying. It’s probably not a place suitable for groups or families with children.
