“大満足の２泊３日でした”

The onsen (hot spring) was spacious and we could use it whenever we wanted, which was a big plus. The food was homemade and had a cozy, homemade taste to it. There's also a supermarket nearby, which made shopping a breeze. We stayed here with our dog and were able to take them to a nearby dog park called "asobou no sato". The stars were also incredibly clear, making us feel like we were right in the middle of nowhere. The only downside was the faint white lines on the parking lot.

“Bad”

We were really looking forward to staying here, but unfortunately, we were given the wrong rooms and had to move to a different place, which was a 2km drive away. To make matters worse, we were told we had to be back at the original place by 9am for breakfast, but that was way too late for us. It was a big disappointment and we ended up not using the breakfast at all.

The owner of this place was an absolute gem - his English was excellent and you could tell he was really trying to make an effort. He was a lovely person and the breakfast was amazing, a traditional Japanese breakfast that was so good. He was also very kind and thoughtful, and I really appreciated the extra touches. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Japan for the first time.

The location of this hotel is great, with a nice garden and a beautiful view of Mt Aso. There's also a large supermarket just a kilometre away, which was really convenient. However, the room was a bit too small for our group of four.
