Glendevon House Hotel

We stayed overnight to attend a function at Oakley House, Bromley Common. The price and location were suitable for our needs.

The staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable and well equipped, complete with a fridge and microwave. The bathroom had a strong odor at first, which faded during our stay and was barely noticeable by the next morning, but since we only stayed one night it didn’t help much. I suspect the issue was known, as the windows in our room were wide open when we checked in and we kept them open until late, yet that didn’t solve it. The showers made a faint, odd noise throughout the night; it wasn’t loud enough to disturb our sleep, but you could hear it when awake. I hope we were just unlucky, because otherwise the hotel was lovely.

“Fell short of previous stays”

I liked the location, but the en‑suite was cramped inside a cupboard, the room looked shabby, and I was kept awake by noise from other guests.

The place was comfy, the room was nice, the residential area was pleasant, and the bus stop was right outside—everything was fine.
