It’s an exceptional spot, a former castle turned hotel, full of taste and refinement while still offering a warm, authentic welcome, as is common in the Basque Country. I recommend this place and the village, rich in history; don’t miss it. Nothing to mention.

Everything was perfect: the place, the hotel, the staff. We dined there and the food was incredible. The only downside was having to return home.

Location and staff were good. What was missing was a mirror in the room and a mini fridge.

The hotel is quite new and tastefully decorated. The surroundings are wonderful, and parking in front posed no issues. The hosts were very pleasant, sending us plenty of information to navigate the valley and suggestions for places to eat. The room was amazing—spacious, well-lit, with a great bathroom and an incredibly comfortable bed. They have a dining room offering breakfasts and dinners; the breakfasts are outstanding and definitely worth it, and the service is impeccable. I also enjoyed a half menu at dinner, which was delicious. I’ll definitely stay again at Hotel Jauregi Borda if I return to the valley (and I will).
