There was no breakfast. The booking process was confusing and stressful: I could never pay on Booking, which kept asking me to pay in RED and showing “page not found” when I tried. I managed to talk to the owner on WhatsApp, who said there were Booking problems and that I’d pay on arrival. She claimed she was available until 19 h, yet from 17 h she pressured us to come early or she’d cancel. This added to our stress; we arrived just before 18 h, struggled to find the place – no signage, no bell, no plaque, only a phone call. The place is an apartment, not a hotel, with no front‑door registration, next to a medical office, just a corridor and three rooms; ours smelled like sewer. There was a lot of noise at night – heavy traffic, shouting, singing, people drinking on the street. We had to pay the full amount in cash, which was surprising and unsettling because there was no card machine (we didn’t have enough cash). This procedure left us doubtful, especially since our Booking reservation was cancelled before we arrived. Another issue: she called us three days later (we were in Taormina) to say we had booked three nights the same evening and that we had to pay, which was completely false. In short, I don’t recommend it because nothing is clear.
