“Katastrophal”

Doing nothing was the only thing that went right—no fuss, no activity. The chef was overwhelmed and verbally aggressive, and there was no hint that the place was a full construction site; the kitchen and restaurant were shut. He even did the renovation himself—no money for a professional firm. After I complained he overreacted (drunk??) so I grabbed my stuff and left, but he refunded me cash immediately.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which is not something you expect during the heat of Burgenland.

“Nicht empfehlenswert!”

The location is great, but the reception was not friendly, there were no toiletries, and breakfast cost €20 per person with nothing offered. Cleanliness was lacking everywhere.

No AC in the room and no umbrella on the balcony made for an uncomfortable stay.

This is the best hotel in Bad Sauerbrunn: quiet rooms, clean, shower perfect, plenty of towels, comfy bed, parking right outside, good kitchen, and the boss is super nice—definitely coming back.
