Nice attentive staff and excellent breakfast. The room was very dusty with tired decorative walls, furniture, and it generally needs an update. Cleaning was not great: a used sachet of shower gel from the previous occupancy was still in the shower and the WC was stained. Pillows were marked and spare pillows had no pillow cases.

Lovely setting and the room was a good size with all the facilities you could need. Smart TV with apps is great for those who don’t want to watch standard TV. Food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. When ordering a double room, it’s frustrating to get two single beds that are just pushed together without securing them, and there was no mattress topper, so a ridge and eventually a gap formed between the beds. That’s not something I would expect from a higher‑class hotel and made the experience a little disappointing.
