The atmosphere was a lovely, gentle place that brought back memories of my boy. The owner was super friendly and made you want to stay as long as possible. The only downside was having to leave.

It was a terrible stay. I didn’t like anything. I didn’t use the accommodation because the host implied in the listing that the entire house was available to the guest, but she was actually there with a dog and only rented the room, even though the guest had access to other parts of the house. The listing didn’t mention that the bathroom was shared, which misled me because I didn’t want a shared bathroom. Later the host changed the listing to show a shared bathroom after I asked her to refund the amount I paid because I wasn’t staying there. That feels like a small trick that shows she isn’t a serious person. The host didn’t refund me. Besides the shared bathroom issue, I didn’t want to stay in the room because the house had a strange smell, it looked unclean, and a dog was roaming the house (the host’s conditions say pets are not allowed). From other comments and reviews I saw, it seems the house is usually in that state. The location is in Bairro do Viso, which is basically a ghetto. The house also has no local accommodation sign, as is common for such places, and it seems the host is renting the room illegally as local accommodation. I do not recommend paying to stay here for all the reasons listed above. I’ve used Booking for many years and never had this happen. Booking shouldn’t have accepted this house.

Overall it met my expectations. The location wasn’t good.
