“Decent hot spring but outdoor bath could be warmer”
I loved the open-air hot spring bath where you can soak for a long time, it was really relaxing. However, I felt the outdoor bath water could've been warmer, even on a chilly day like that. The indoor bath was nice and toasty, so I expected the outdoor one to be similar, maybe they use different hot springs?
“Friendly staff and good food but some weird smells”
The staff were super friendly, and I enjoyed the outdoor bath and the food - it was all really great. But, I have to say, I wasn't a fan of the smells around the place - the changing room had a pretty strong mildew scent, and the hallway to the bath had this overpowering air freshener smell that was kinda overwhelming. And, I didn't even use the pillows because they smelled kinda stained, yeah, it was a bit of a bummer.
