“Not worth the price”
The suite is very basic; the bed sheet has many black stains, there’s only one small trash can in the bathroom, and no Kleenex is provided.
We were the only guests at the hotel, likely the last of the season, and the host upgraded us to a junior suite, making the stay even more special. The experience was spectacular; the hotel was superb, the beds extremely comfortable, and the room spacious with a magnificent view. Kenneth was amazing and exceptionally hospitable, taking care of everything and even giving us a private mini‑safari. We also did the boat tour, the most exciting thing we’ve done in Costa Rica so far, making this a truly authentic and unforgettable place. The internet was occasionally unstable, which is understandable given the hotel’s remote, secluded location, and the road to the hotel is quite bumpy, but both are small trade‑offs for such a unique experience.

We squeezed in a horseback ride and a boat tour within our 24‑hour visit, and our two little ones were thrilled. The kids enjoyed the pool, and the on‑site dining made parenting a breeze. This beautiful eco‑ranch made our trip to the Nicoya Peninsula a real treat. Kenneth, the host, welcomed us every day and handled everything—tour guide, translator, waiter at the restaurant and pool, and a bright, kind presence. He knows all the birds and wildlife; we did both the boat tour and the bird‑watching tour, the latter being the best and the ranch’s hallmark with its wetlands. Our room was beautiful, very clean, with a comfortable bed and an amazing private view. The included meals were outstanding and freshly made, and we loved the pool and patio areas. Kenneth and the staff treated us like family, making this a truly special place in the world.
