The spot was a little off the main town, about a 20‑minute walk past some scary, barking dogs, but the host swapped us into a spacious family room that matched the description. She didn’t speak English but was super helpful using Google Translate and even arranged a bike for us to rent that day. The attached coffee shop has no food but you can order from local places and have it delivered, and she handed us ice teas to take along. Blackout curtains would be nice, but the karaoke bar opposite didn’t bother us, so the soundproofing must be good. The property sits on a main road with traffic lights right outside the first room, so you can hear cars and bikes early in the morning, which is normal for Vietnam.
