“Not what I was expecting, cheap yes, but unhosted and sharing with other guests is weird.”
The location was quiet, and there was plenty of breakfast, though it was self‑serve and only cold items plus toast. The overall cost was cheap. We arrived to find the housekeeper there, which was lucky because otherwise we wouldn’t have been let in; he said we weren’t booked until I showed him my reservation. We hadn’t received any door codes, so it was fortunate he was present, as the place is unhosted – something I wasn’t told. The unhosted setup made it feel like an Airbnb, but other guests were staying in other rooms and even joining us at breakfast, which felt odd. We had no hot water from the taps for the entire stay. The bedding was wet; the housekeeper said it was just fragrance freshener sprayed earlier and didn’t offer a change. We had to air our own bedding, which I expected to be swapped. The shower room was tiny, barely fitting the shower, toilet, and sink, all cramped together. The shower was hot because it’s electric. These problems need fixing, and guests should be warned about the unhosted setup before booking. I find wet bedding from fragrance hard to believe, and the lack of hot water warrants some kind of refund.
