“Volvería al Orchid”
The views and pool services were good, and the towels were great. Luis the security guard was very attentive and friendly, recommending many activities and places to visit. The cleaning staff and overall service were good, but the reception lady seemed to be forcing us to speak, and the bar manager was not very attentive. The beds in our room were very soggy and the towels weren’t changed daily.

Staying at Orchid is always a pleasure; the staff are friendly, the breakfasts are delicious, and the bungalow is a perfect spot to unwind. Overall, the place is lovely, and having a pool and beach access is a big plus. I haven’t found anything I didn’t like in all my stays, so I’d come back.
The sunset views are exceptional. My biggest disappointment was feeling that the hotel prioritizes beach‑club guests over its own hotel guests. As a guest, you expect the staff to focus first on those staying at the hotel, and that wasn’t my experience. Considering the rate, several service details fell short of expectations: * On several occasions, the coffee ran out during breakfast and it took a while to restock. * The beach towels were not available on time. * I requested that my room’s safe be set up and it was never attended to. * One day my room wasn’t cleaned until about 5:00 p.m., and that only after I reported it three times. The property is pretty and La Paz is a spectacular destination, but the service didn’t live up to the price. I expected a much more consistent level of care for a hotel of this category.
The pool area is huge and the sea‑front terrace is fantastic, but the rooms disappoint because they lack a view and feel very dark inside.

I liked that the property offers a pool and beach access, with convenient drink service and comfy chairs. The pool is very pretty and clean, the food service is acceptable, and the lobby is beautiful with a magnificent sea view. The only downside was the bathroom items; they seemed to have a stale smell, especially the hand cream and shampoo.
