“Wunderschöne Lodge am FishRiver Canyon”
Die Lage am West-Rim des Fishriver Canyons ist absolut einzigartig. Wir wurden auch sehr herzlich empfangen. Ausflug in den Canyon können wir auf jeden Fall empfehlen - auch wenns ein bumpy ride ist ;-). Sundowner Drive hat uns auch sehr gefallen. Verpflegung war absolut top. Minibar/Kühlschrank am Zimmer wäre toll gewesen - wir konnten unsere Cool-Packs aber im Haupthaus kühlen. Am Abreisetag lag bereits kurz nach 8:00 Uhr schon das neue Bettzeug samt Handtüchern vor dem Zimmer - da hat man ein wenig das Gefühl, dass man nicht schnell genug abreisen kann/soll

The location of Fish River Lodge is amazing, and the view is striking. The staff are adorable and attentive, and we had a magnificent day in the canyon on a 4x4 with a swim and an excellent meal prepared on site – highly recommend. No complaints.
The surroundings are beautiful, the room offers stunning views, the food is great, and the service is excellent.
The place is truly exceptional and timeless, with the site’s great beauty, top‑quality equipment, elegant architecture and tasteful décor, and a strong focus on the environment. The access is very difficult – 20 km of winding trail – but that’s the price you pay to be far from everything and right on the canyon edge, where the wind is extremely violent in that spot, though that’s just a weather fact. The emphasis on paid guided activities, even though you can do very beautiful hikes on your own, isn’t hidden but also not really highlighted.
