“Exceeded expectations with a comfortable stay”

I've not stayed in a Holiday Inn Express before but was very impressed. The room sizes were generous and the included breakfast exceeded expectations. The hotel was also well insulated as you couldn't hear the planes from Heathrow inside (even though you could outside). The staff were very pleasant and happy to deal with requests as my wife had surgery during our stay in London. The price of water at the vending machine was quite steep (£2.20 for 500ml) but given the value of the stay, that was minor. One thing that really disturbed us on the first night was the fire alarm sounding for a few seconds at 1am, which meant we were woken abruptly and struggled to get back to sleep. I expect that was a one off and our second night was peaceful

“Terrible”

There was nothing positive to mention; the reception offered zero customer service, earning the place a 0/10, and the reception workers should be sacked.

“A bit expensive for its location and the facilities, but clean and well maintained. Reservation staff aren’t that friend”

The place was clean and well maintained, and the breakfast service was good, but the reservation staff at the front desk were unhelpful; they offered no way to modify a booking or provide a refund policy, and the entry key kept giving trouble when trying to access the fitness center.
